Pacific Palisades · Fire rebuilds

Rebuilding, already underway.

We were among the very first builders to break ground and frame new homes in the fire-affected areas — Alphabet Streets, Sunset Mesa — and the process that got those projects moving is the one we bring to yours.

Your trusted partner in a challenging time

A rebuild is a construction problem before it is anything else.

Rebuilding after a fire means navigating debris certification, fire-zone permitting, soils reports on burnt hillsides, and a new building code — usually while negotiating with an insurer. Fragmented across separate architects and contractors, that process fails slowly and expensively.

Our design-build model was made for exactly this. One team carries your project from site assessment through permit to framing — the same team, the whole way — with fire-resistant assemblies built by our own envelope trades.

What the fire took is more than a structure. The work of getting a family home deserves a builder who treats it that way.

Straight answers

What rebuild families ask us.

How soon can a fire rebuild start?
Once debris clearance is certified and a permit is issued. Like-for-like rebuilds move through expedited review; across real Palisades applications the median from submission to permit has run about 97 days. Our pre-construction work runs in parallel so mobilization follows issuance in weeks, not months.

Do you handle the permitting?
Yes — permit strategy and expediting are part of the engagement, including the fire-zone, hillside and coastal requirements specific to the Palisades. Complete submittals are what clear plan check; assembling them is our job, not yours.

What does rebuilding to the new fire code involve?
Every rebuild must meet California’s current Wildland-Urban Interface standards — Chapter 7A assemblies for roofing, vents, eaves, exterior walls, glazing and decking. We build these as systems with our own envelope trades, because compliance on paper only protects you if the detailing is continuous in the field.

Can you work with our insurance process?
We provide the site-specific construction estimates that make a settlement discussion concrete, and we sequence design decisions so scope stays aligned with coverage. We are builders, not adjusters — but our numbers are the ones the conversation needs.
